Dog Walking Johannesburg Sandton
Duke was very excited to be going for his walk this morning because he knew today was park day! He was very well-behaved in the car, and on the short walk to the park. He had a blast playing with Molly May, Sam, Ozzy and Roxy. Duke is such a playful and happy dog, and as soon as his lead is off, he just smiles and has the time of his life. He ran and swam and explored until it was time to go and everyone was tired. It was a fantastic time at the park!
Wonderful Pit Bulls…
In 2007, 51 Pit Bulls were seized from Michael Vick’s dog-fighting ring and over 30 of them have been rehabilitated and gone on to loving homes. Four of them have even become therapy dogs. When the dogs were discovered in Vick’s home, many people said despite the horrible situation, these dogs should be put down because of their violent natures and killer instincts. Organizations like the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary stepped in and argued that there was still hope for these lost creatures. Almost 8 years later, the Vicktory dogs have some incredible stories of perseverance and hope. They proved that these dogs could be turned around– they could live normal lives in cozy homes. Many of the dogs are completely different, living peacefully with their families (which often includes other animals).
